Here's GWBB contributor/media tigress Carly Stasko, interviewing two superheroines and helping them into their disguises.

o

Here are two of the superheroines, after Carly got through with them. The woman on the left had the power to charm any woman in the lesbian community and the woman on the right could travel through space in the blink of an eye (I think).

Here's the team reaffirming their sisterhood just before taking off to fight evil.

Here's a fairly unflattering photo of me. You can't see my wings from this angle. But you can witness my rainbow-coloured lei of power. (Is "lei" a word? It looks really weird to me, on the screen here.)

I hotfooted it from Vancouver over to Calgary, where GWBB contributor Larissa Lai welcomed me and made me feel at home. It was my first time meeting her, but we were fast friends. The fact that only five people showed up at the delightful indie giant, McNally-Robinson, barely put a damper on my enjoyment of the city and the people who live there.

Below, Larissa is the one hiding behind a wand and a martini. To the left is J, the fiction editor of Filling Station, and Ms. (?) Kreuk, a local poet. Nice folks, all.

Here is the Velvet Belly martini I unwisely ordered. Yes--those really are Fruit Loops floating on top and a sour peach wedged onto the rim. Remind me to never order a martini with milk in it again. Anyhoo, cheers! (And yes, I did finish it.)

The end!
